Haywood Christian Academy was invited to participate in the Haywood Arts Council Student Art Show at Gallery 86 in Waynesville.An opening reception was held on Saturday, January 15, 2011, where over 100 were in attendance. Fourteen pieces of artwork were purchased during the reception, including a crayon batik piece by Tessa Shepher and five pieces by Celeste Wourms-Williams. The students learned about selling their art in a downtown studio and how galleries receive a commission from all sales. Below are a few shots of the students' artwork.
