Fundraiser features two new car giveaways for a hole-in-one -- a new Chevrolet Malibu and a new Mercedes-Benz!

Haywood Christian Academy is excited to announce its first annual golf tournament fundraiser on October 4, 2008, at Maggie Valley Club!

This year's golf tournament will support the needs of our student athletes. As we enter the second year of operations, we begin athletic competition as a member of the Blue Ridge Christian Conference, along with North Asheville, Marion, Hendersonville, and Blue Ridge Christian Schools. Haywood Christian Academy is fielding volleyball, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, and golf teams in conference play. Start-up costs accumulate quickly for uniforms, equipment, staff, and facilities.

As a non-profit corporation, Haywood Christian Academy does not receive federal or state funds for our operation. Rather, we fund our programs through student tuition, select fund-raising events, and charitable contributions from those who support our vision. Our tuition and fees are set at levels to obtain the highest quality faculty and staff and provide a college preparatory educational experience. For many students, athletics is an important component of the total educational experience.

High School Students to go Whitewater Rafting!

Wednesday, September 10th all high school students are invited to go Whitewater Rafting on the Nantahala River!

Thanks to our Special Events committee, students will be leaving school property at 8:00am, traveling to Nantahala Outdoor Center where they will experience the "great outdoors" of Western North Carolina. After a trip down the Nantahala River and lunch, students will arrive back at our school campus at 4:00pm to recap their experience with family and friends.

New School-Year Kickoff Celebration a Success!

Monday, August 18th, approximately 260 friends gathered to celebrate HCA's 2008-2009 school year, as well as our one year birthday!

The program, which began at 7:00 pm in New Covenant Church's main sanctuary, was full of information, introductions, praise and worship and ended with cake, watermelon and bottles of Coca-Cola underneath the perfect setting of the North Carolina mountainsides.

The event was a success, if for no other reason, the Lord was given glory and friendships were established and re-affirmed through this evening.

A big "Thank You" goes out to all who attended, volunteered, and offered thier assistance throughout the upcoming school year!
