Haywood Christian Academy is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The ACSI provides leadership development, educator certification, and professional development programs for our school and 5,000 other Evangelical Protestant Christian schools in over 100 countries. The ACSI assesses the progress of our students -- including their knowledge of the Bible -- through their Stanford Achievment Tests.

Haywood Christian Academy is pursuing accreditation by the ACSI, which is an essential step toward maintaining excellence. ACSI accreditation is recognized by other premier regional accrediting bodies and the National Council for Private School Accreditation. Accreditation cannot begin until a school is 3 years old, which will be our 2010-11 school year.

Haywood Christian Academy is recognized by the NC Department of Non-Public Education as a legal private school. This agency reviews our programs for compliance with the General Statutes of the State of North Carolina which relate to private elementary and secondary schools.

Haywood Christian Academy's Pre-Kindergarten Enrichment Program is recognized by the NC Department of Health and Human Services Division of Child Development for compliance with state regulations.

 Haywood Christian Academy is recognized as a public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
